“As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.”
Franz Kafka
Inspired by the novella “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka, the story of salesman Gregor Samsa who wakes one morning to find himself inexplicably transformed into a huge insect, I have created colour-intensive and dreamlike pictures of insects. Big thanks to the Senckenberg German Entomological Institute who gave me a very warm welcome there and where I could do great work.
The series was created with the support of Leica with the Leica SL2 and the Multishot method. This resulted in images of 187 megapixels!
